Some people use it at night to wind down and improve relaxation before bedtime. Ultimately, the best time to use 40Hz therapy is when it fits best into your schedule and when you feel you get the most benefit.

Our devices can be used with a timer. Some of our customers find that helpful to set up a one hour session.
Where do I put the Clarity light and how close should I be to it while using?
The light should be kept within a few feet of the user in their peripheral vision. As with any light therapy, the 40Hz light should be the dominant light source of the room. The light is not for use on or inside the body.
Is it ok to have other light - even daylight - while using?
As with any light therapy, the 40Hz light should be the dominant light source of the room.We do not recommend using Clarity 40Hz devices in the presence of other light emitting devices, such as TV or a computer, as they emit a different frequency of light.
Can I watch tv, read a book, listen to music or do other activities while using?
Yes, but we recommend the light or sound be the dominant source for best results.
How accurate is the 40Hz light and how is it tested?
Each of our Clarity devices are designed to flicker precisely at 40Hz (40 times per second). Each device is precisely calibrated and tested with multiple oscilloscopes to verify they are within +/- .05Hz of 40Hz.

Can I use more than one 40Hz light device together?
We do not recommend using more than one 40Hz light at a time as there is no guarantee the flicker will be synchronized. The precision of our devices is +/- .05Hz.

Who shouldn’t use Clarity 40Hz / Is gamma 40Hz Light or Sound dangerous?
Some people who suffer photosensitivity or are susceptible to seizures might negatively react to gamma light and sound. We strongly encourage anyone who might be at risk to first contact their primary doctor before implementing any type of light therapy. The human eye can in general not distinguish frequencies greater than 60 Hz, which is why normal light bulbs in a house using a 60 Hz power source are not visibly bothersome. However, because the gamma frequency is significantly lower (40 Hz) and because the lights distinctly transition between the 'off' and 'on' using a square wave electrical signal, the flicker is noticeable by most people.
Is the Clarity light safe to use around children and pets?
Light therapy is noninvasive and generally safe for use around people and pets, however, we would recommend speaking with your pediatrician and/or veterinarian to best answer this question.
